Grind on the Rhine
Co-Owner and head chef of Grind on the Rhine Tyler ...
The saying “Necessity is the mother of invention” does hold some truth. Eli and Drew, partners in the restaurant, met roughly 10 years ago in Findlay Market. They both decided to travel the U.S. together, hitch hik’in it, footin it, hobo’n.
During their travels, they’d eaten good food in some rough places and bad food in some nice restaurants. It was after eating ‘false morel’ mushrooms in Texas, that Drew and Eli had a vision of a restaurant where white collar could sit next to blue, black next to white, child next to grown …you see, it didn’t matter. It’s the atmosphere, the music, the FOOD, and the people that simmer together and create this place.
Not everyday is a good day in the restaurant business. But knowing what quality food is and serving folks who enjoy it does make it worthwhile. We thank you for your business and hope to see you again soon.
