Mimi's Thai Eatery Proudly serves freshly made Thai food. Founder Sithi "Sam" Assanuvat was born in Bangkok, Thailand and moved to the United States in 1965, eventually becoming a US citizen. The business is named after Mimi, his wife, who he met while in college at Eastern Kentucky University. After spotting Mimi at a local convenience store he told his roommate that he was going to marry her. Two years later they were married and have three children - Ashley, Alicia and Sean - all of whom are involved in the family business.
Cooking has always been a passion for Sam and it was his family that urged him to start his own business after they saw how much friends and family loved his eggrolls and padthai. Setting up shop at Findlay Market in 2013, Mimi's quickly gained a following of loyal customers by using original recipes created by Sam and featuring daily fresh meals made from scratch. Mimi's is known for their chicken, pork and vegetarian eggrolls. It has always been a dream of Sam's to own his own business and he is happy that he chose Findlay Market as the place to realize that dream. "I love being a part of the Cincinnati community. This is the community that has embraced and supported me from day one. The fact that I am able to now serve the community and provide and thank you through my food is a dream come true."
Sam, Mimi and the rest of the family look forward to meeting you!
