Timothy Barr

Timothy Barr decided very early that he would build a career where he invests in his local community. After graduating from Xavier University in 2015, he embarked on a year-long service-learning opportunity with the local St. Vincent De Paul. This transformative experience helped him to develop a passion for empowering communities to function at their greatest potential. He is currently an Associate with Endeavor, the leading global community for high-impact entrepreneurs. At Endeavor, Timothy works to select entrepreneurs to participate in a proprietary international selection process and provide them with a peer-to-peer community, along with other support on their respective journeys. Outside of his career, Timothy enjoys volunteering as the co-chair of Cincinnati Young Black Professionals (CYBP) and a mayor-appointed member of the Citizens Complaint Authority Board. Barr hopes that audience members will take away from the conversation a sense of insight and knowledge on the history of Juneteenth and why it’s important.

“The fight isn’t over. We as Black people in America face different struggles every day. No matter what side of the poverty line you’re on, the struggle is always there.”
