Turner Farm

ABOUT

Turner Farm is a certified organic farm dedicated to connecting people of all ages with the land that feeds them in body, mind and spirit. The crop production team cultivates roughly eight acres of the property year-round, growing 50-60 different crops each season that supply an on-site Farm Market, summer and winter Vegetable CSA programs, farmers markets and wholesale and restaurant sales.

All livestock at Turner Farm are humanely raised; the heritage hogs and chickens are fed non-GMO grain and regularly rotated to fresh pasture, and the cattle and sheep are grass fed. Because Turner Farm has a regenerative and sustainable philosophy on agriculture, fields are rotated between grazing and growing to promote soil health the natural way. Belgian draft horses are also still used to work the fields whenever possible. 

The farm encourages everyone in the community to visit and gain a deeper understanding of how their food is grown and raised. Turner Farm, including the on-site Farm Market, is open to the public Monday through Saturday. Cooking classes are also regularly offered at the chef-led Turner Farm Teaching Kitchen, and the farm has two historic, meticulously renovated venues available for private event rental: the Barn Studio, a charming 100-year-old barn, and the Meshewa House, a 12,000-square-foot manor house, originally built in 1935.
